It wasn’t long ago that Apple had confirmed that they do in fact slow down older iPhones. However, the tech company still stand by the fact that they did it in order to prolong the life of the device, rather than to push customers to purchase the latest models. Although, no matter what the reasoning was they are now offering out-of-warranty battery replacement for a discoutned price, from $79 to $29 in the US or £79 to £25 in the UK for anyone with an iPhone 6 or later.
