As we approach the coldest times of the year, the Vancouver based luxury performance label that is Veilance has looked to celebrate their Monitor coat. This isn’t too surprising as the brand themselves state this is in fact the best-selling piece they have created to date.

Well, what better way is there to pay tribute to a piece than by revamping it in three new iterations? Specifically, Veilance has dropped the new Monitor Down, Monitor Down TW, and finally, the Monitor IS SL. Going in reverse order, the IS SL features a GORE-TEX SHAKEDRY shell, the lightest waterproof fabric GORE-TEX has ever made. From here it boasts Coreloft-S insulation, a durable, lightweight, and easy to care for down alternative.

When it comes to the new Monitor Down coat, it sports a GORE-TEX PRO shell, the most durable fabric GORE-TEX currently makes. Instead of Coreloft-S, this piece features 850 fill down insulation with Down Contour technology, consequently offerings warmth while removing cold spots.

Last but not least is the Monitor Down TW, it has all of the same features as the regular Monitor, but the fully waterproof, 3-layer GORE-TEX shell fabric is lightly textured. This rounds the aesthetic off with a heathered look, something which typically only found on fabrics made from natural materials. This version, as well as the other two, comes with an insulated hood and hidden drawcords and a military-style fishtail in the back.
