London’s very own MC, JME, has been keeping fans entertained throughout lockdown thanks to the scheduled releases of his Grime MC music videos.
As for what we received most recently, JME and Merky ACE’s hard-hitting track “Live” has received a visual which could arguably include some of the attention-to-most detail work we have seen in a grime music video for a while. This isn’t surprising given that the BBK member has consistently been dropping videos that go above and beyond that of the average visual.
The music video takes aim at fake news, with dozens of subtle references to the state of the music industry, politics and the things often synonymous with JME being included. For example, we see JME at a vegan protest – which is unsurprising given his vegan lifestyle – although we can actually see that he is holding a “SUBSCRIBE TO PEWDIEPIE” picket. Furthermore, facts regarding the dangers, or lack thereof, of weed is also mentioned as well as a scoop that shows JME’s durag taking a restraining order out on him.
