In order to maintain their reputation as one of the most popular skate brands out there, Santa Cruz Skateboards has launched its Spring 2020 menswear collection and made sure to include a range of products diverse enough so that there is something for everyone. In fact, Santa Cruz has actually split the collection into four drops: ‘Classic’, ‘Santa Cruz Black’, ‘OGSC’ and brand new for this season, ‘Organics’.

Santa Cruz’s flagship offering is the ‘Classic’ collection. A drop in which the brand has looked to offer some of its most popular recurring graphics like the ‘Classic Dot’ and ‘Screaming Hand’, while also offering fresh variations for those who are looking for something new. As well as this, the Classic collection contains collaborative graphics produced by the renowned Argentinian artist YAIA.

Santa Cruz has always been known for its vivid colours and graphics. However, ‘Santa Cruz Black’ draws on the same concept of bold ideas but recreates them with designs that utilise a monochromatic aesthetic. Consequently, these darker products allow for easy styling and consist of graphics provided by the Chinese artist Lil Wen Xin. That’s not all though, the collection also contains the ‘Kendall Catalogue’ story featuring Jim Phillip’s ‘small art’ illustration and Eric Dressen’s iconic Everslick ‘stick em up!’ graphic from the 90s.

When it comes to the ‘OGSC’ range, it arrives with vintage graphics sourced from Santa Cruz’s archive of skate related artwork. This season even draws inspiration from one of Santa Cruz’s first print adverts from the summer of 1976. Last but not least is the new unisex ‘Organics’ collection, it offers pieces that have been produced in Portugal using 100% organic cotton and eco-friendly prints approved by OEKO-TEX.
