Marvel’s 2016 film ‘Doctor Strange‘ was undeniably a hard movie to pull off as it was the first in the franchise to explore the Marvel Universe’s dimensions, energies and spells, however, it looks like the studio was happy with the outcome as they have approached the director, Scott Derrickson, to now lead the way for a sequel.
As for what we know, Derrickson, who was not only responsible for directing but also co-writing the original with C. Robert Cargill and Jon Spaihts, has been signed up for Disney-Marvel’s sequel but reportedly the studio is still looking for writers to contribute to the next film. Apart from that, no details have been revealed such as release dates or storylines, I guess we will have to wait and see.
