A while before their Falcon 9 rocket ended up in the ocean, SpaceX was readying up to send out a load of Christmas dinners to those aboard the ISS 408km away, because why not?
Specifically, Elon Musk’s space exploration company, SpaceX, had been working side-by-side with NASA in order to send up a special delivery to the International Space Station. As for what was inside, the usual science gear and supplies were included but this time the care package carried something a little different. A traditional Christmas dinner consisting of smoked turkey breast, cranberry sauce, candied yams and even a fruitcake is making the mind-boggling journey in order to reach the astronauts before the 25th. Interestingly, the cargo was meant to depart earlier but was delayed after mouldy rodent food was found within the package.
