With Star Wars fans having to wait over a year for the next chapter of the story, many will be over the moon to hear that franchise is set to release a live-action Star Wars series that will be written and executively produced by Jon Favreau.
Specifically, the upcoming series will follow a “lone gunfighter”  who is a part of the Mandalorian race, a species of people who are unique in their soldier-ready attributes. As for the timeline, the episodes will be set between Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. All of the previously mentioned info was confirmed after Jon Favreau uploaded a short description of what to expect on Instagram.
However since then more details have emerged and now we have not only received a real image of the lead character, but also found out that Star Wars Rebels‘ Dave Filoni is likely going to direct the first episode, while the likes of Deborah Chow, Rick Famuyiwa, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Taika Waititi could make on-screen appearances. Apart from that, no other details are thought to know so stay tuned for all the movie’s developments.
