You may recognise the name Ming-Chi Kuo as the KGI Securities analyst has an impressive track record on Apple leaks and has appeared in a few articles over the years for that very reason. For example he correctly guessed the existence of Apple’s Face ID facial recognition system, the iPhone X price and screen size as well as the specifications of the iPhone 8 camera to name just a few of his tips. Well, the individual has come out with another set of details regarding the upcoming iPhone so our ears all fully open.
Specifically, the rumoured 6.5-inch OLED iPhone will drop in black, white and a new gold colourway while the rumoured 6.1-inch LED iPhone will see grey, white, blue, red and orange iterations. This is quite a change from Apple’s tradition of dropping a red version of the latest product a while after launch in order to keep up sales, so this rumour – if it’s true – will mean that this year will be the first time the tech-giants have revealed so many colours for a new model at launch. However, we need to remind everyone that this is rumoured, and although the KGI Securities analyst has been right in the past the only way we will know he is right this time is to wait for the release date.
