The American manufacturer of clothing, Champion, is collaborating with none other than Tremaine Emory, the founder of Denim Tears, for a brand new collection.

Dubbed “Champion Tears,” the venture is designed to revamp the iconography that can be found in America’s heritage. Consequently, Champion’s Reverse Weave fabrics and design archive have been utilised to offer a range of garments.

Specifically, expect collegiate sweats, collegiate tees, and Champion’s original letterman jacket to make up the canvas that Tremaine projected his aesthetic onto. The designs include bright plaids and loose-gauge knits, elsewhere, expect jackets boasting hits of red, black and green, referencing the Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA) founded in the 1920s.

Take a look at the Champion Tears collection below. If you like what you see then sit tight as the collab will launch in September via select retailers across the globe.
