South London’s very own Wu-Lu has looked to start 2021 off on the right foot. Consequently, he and Lex Amor have dropped their latest collaborative track, ‘South.’
Accompanied by visuals directed by Denisha Anderson, the single offers a sound inspired by what it’s like growing up in inner-city London. From your environment breaking down to relationships deteriorating as you get older, the songs offers plenty of conscious material while also providing some more chaotic energy at times.
Wu-Lu said the following regarding the track: “It’s a feeling that your area is losing all the things that make it what it is: the smell, the look, the taste, and most importantly, the people,” adding: “Once someone gets a whiff of money then things start to change. But big changes bring unrealistic outcomes for those who can’t afford the new way of living.”
