Converse and Brain Dead have just announced that they will be collaborating for a second time. This new collection features two new 70’s Chuck Taylor High Top designs and one iteration of the Bosey MC.

Brain Dead was founded by Kyle Ng and Ed Davis in 2014 and is heavily inspired by post-punk, comic books, and skateboarding. They’re well recognized for their bold graphic designs – with disruption at their core – making them a perfect collaborator with Converse.

Their first Chuck Taylor 70 is centred around distortion and remixes the shoes upper, with multiple layers of cow print. Brain Dead branding can be found around the foxing pinstripe and the Brain-Dead patch sewn onto the upper. The foxing features chopped Converse colours all around; adding to the distorted ethos of the collaboration. The second Chuck Taylor 70 characters an all-black canvas upper with a Brain Dead logo patch sewn onto the outer upper and the same chopped Converse colours on the foxing. This design will be exclusive to Dover Street Market

The final silhouette is a Bosey MC, a modern interpretation of Converse’s 1940s Lakestream wading shoe. Usually a high-top shoe, Brain Dead opted for a low-cut Bosey MC to juxtapose the two Chuck Taylor 70’s. This shoe features a canvas and monomesh upper with a grey cow print design layered over it. The shoe has multiple functional features – such as a reinforced foam collar lining, cord loop heel pulls, and lacing cables. The Brain Dead branding can be found on the tongue tag of the shoe.

The Converse X Brain Dead collection will be available on November 19th from the Brain Dead Website, Converse Website and the Dover Street Market Website. You can take a look at the collection below and be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to never miss a drop date.
