Sneakerheads everywhere were excited to finally see Nike SB‘s Dunk High “Strawberry Cough” back in March. However, this excitement was quickly dampened when news spread that the pair wouldn’t be dropping due to the unfortunate naming and timing of the product’s release.

The Todd Bratrud-designed Dunk High sees a tongue-in-cheek aesthetic, with the pair nodding to the popular namesake weed strain. As for the aesthetic, the “Strawberry Cough” sports a red hue on the upper, toebox, mudguard, and eyelets. These red areas are then rounded off with raised spots that produce a seed-covered effect.

From here, the pair continue their strawberry resemblance through the heels, collars and Swooshes that boast a vibrant green colour. Interestingly, the construction of the sneaker is split into two parts, the smooth leather with makes up the red and the rough suede which makes up the green. Last but not least, a small coughing strawberry motif sits on the heel, with red SB branding making its way to the tongues.
