Not long ago it was announced that Supreme had plans to release a tee dedicated to raising funds for charities that are fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. However, now that we have finally got a look at the upcoming piece, it’s become apparent that the charitable garb will take the form of a Takashi Murakami collaboration.
The highly-anticipated tee is arriving with Supreme’s iconic Box Logo aesthetic, however this time the red backdrop has been swapped out for a collection of Takashi Murakami motifs. Specifically, the various skull and flower motifs, which are synonymous with the renowned contemporary Japanese artist, offer up a colourful contrast to the instantly recognisable Supreme branding.
This Supreme x Takashi Murakami meeting is designed to help the US’ fight against the COVID-19 virus, with 100% of this collab’s proceeds going to HELP USA, an organization that is supporting families of all backgrounds that are facing homelessness.
Take a look at the Takashi Murakami x Supreme Charity Box Logo Tee below, if you like what you see then you’re in luck as it’s set to drop via Supreme’s online store in the U.S. and Canada only on Friday the 24th of April.
