Fashion and streetwear enthusiasts everywhere were excited to see what was to come after Louis Vuitton teased a forthcoming partnership between artistic director Virgil Abloh and NIGO back in December.
Since then, many have pondered on what to expect and what form the collab would take, however, now that official imagery has arrived we no longer have to imagine. Instead, we can finally see that the collection will be consisting of an array of denim, tailoring and graphic designs.
More specifically, the Pre-Fall 2020 menswear selection still sports the forms of construction that are so synonymous with the LV brand but has been visibly fused with various aspects of NIGO’s legacy. For example, even the name has been updated by the father of BAPE. NIGO dubbed the collaborative effort, “LV²,” as a nod to the dual design approach enacted by him and the Off-White founder.
With denim jackets and jeans sprinkled between blazers with stylized LV² logo-laden pockets and checkered-patterned suits, there really is something for everybody in this collection. As well as this, Tyrolean shoes, hiking boots, backpacks, duffels, shoulder bags, totes, fringed scarves, chunky sunglasses, skinny Damier ties and Louis Vuitton-branded caps all round off the rest of the offerings.
Take a look at NIGO and Virgil Abloh’s “LV²” Louis Vuitton collection below, if you like what you see then sit tight as the range is set to drop this summer.
