Recently Converse and Midnight Studios teamed up in order to revamp the Pro Leather, a throwback silhouette which first made its debut all the way back in 1976.

It was last autumn that Converse reintroduced the Pro Leather to its lineup, however, now that they have teamed up with Shane Gonzales of Midnight Studios they really are bringing the pair into 2020. As for what to expect, the sneakers remain true to their original build, however, added details have been utilised for a more premium finish, such as the label found on the tongue, printed laces and reverse branding. Furthermore, the use of an off-white colourway allows the offering to remain easy to style into a number of fits.

“The Pro Leather is a sneaker that can be interpreted in so many ways,” said Shane Gonzales, adding: “For me, skate culture is one of the outlets I wanted to explore.” Known for combining his passion for skating with a punk rock aesthetic, Shane chose to invert the silhouette and combine simplicity with functionality, consequently, a mixture of leather and suede was chosen for the construction.

Take a look at the Converse x Midnight Studios Pro Leather below, if you like what you see then you’re in luck as you can cop yourself a pair now for £100 via Converse’s online store.
