After Dr Martens announced their plan to produce a range of collaborative takes of their renowned 1460 model, fans of the brand were excited to see what was coming down the pipeline. However, If you were one of these people then wait no longer as the classically British brand has announced that they have teamed with none other than the Belgian fashion designer, Raf Simons, for their next release.

Interestingly the duo has looked to revamp the smooth leather upper with a series of anarchistic punk-style nickel rings. Not surprisingly, the inspiration for the pair was sourced from the New Romantic/Punk club scene of the late 70s, with Raf Simons saying the placement of the rings was a nod to the structure of a mid-century design piece.

As well as this, the Raf Simons x Dr Martens 1460 looks to boast the names that crafted them, consequently seeing a dual-branded Dr. Martens x Raf Simons logo embossed on the boot’s ankle cuff. Last but not least, the boots feature black laces with a contrasting yellow and black heel tag to round the aesthetic off.

Take a look at the Raf Simons x Dr Martens 1460 below, if you like what you see then you’re in luck as you will be able to cop a pair for yourself on the 22nd of February via or at a number of the brand’s select stores.
