After two years away from the scene, the renowned MMA champ that is Conor McGregor returned in spectacular fashion to clash with America’s Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.

Taking place just a couple of nights ago, the fight kicked off with a standing grapple, this was followed by three unexpected shoulders from McGregor, all of which landed on Cerrone’s face. Catching ‘Cowboy’ off guard, the Irishman continued his offence with a well-connecting left head kick, taking the opportunity to jump on Cerrone while dazed, McGregor landed a barrage of punches, consequently causing the ref to stop the fight.

Following the fight, McGregor pointed out his remarkable achievement, saying: “I’m the first fighter to secure a victory at featherweight, lightweight and now welterweight.” Conor then added that he likes “this weight division. It feels really good. You’re going to see a lot of me here.”
