With worse weather creeping in, the American lifestyle and skate brand that is Vans have looked to drop a brand new revamp of some of their most classic products.

As for why this revamp was in order, Vans wanted to update these products with their latest MTE technology, this being the innovative material that combines superior insulation, breathability and water resistance.

For the first time ever, the Drill Chore Coat has not only been crafted from this material but also given a number of other important features. For example, expect a moisture-wicking liner, fully functional zip-off hood, extended corduroy collar, reflective labels on the front and back and a metal snap-closure storm flap for keeping the wind out and body heat in.

When it comes to the footwear, the SK8-Hi MTE 2.0 DX sports a few updated features compared to the already weatherized version of their classic silhouette. Thankfully, both men’s and women’s styles can be expected, with the upper now engineered with easy-on and-off tongue and heel pulls while a rubber toecap rounds the sneakers off.
