The 2014 American science fiction action film that is ‘Edge of Tomorrow’ was an undeniable success, that’s why many were suprised that it has been 5 years since we saw Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt side by side and not have a sequel confirmed.
Having said that, it appears that is all about to change as a follow-up film is stated to be in development with the studio also planning to see Tom and Emily return to their respective roles. As well as this, Warner Bros. have also stated their intentions to bring back the original director, Doug Liman. Now, although the film seems like a certainty from these details, sources have stated that Tom and his fellow actors are yet to ok the script and follow through with their deals.
I guess all we can do until then is sit patiently and hope that we see another installment arrive as soon as possible.
