Specifically, ‘Stoney’ knocked Jackson’s 1982 album Thriller off while achieving a number of other notable achievements such as going platinum in 4 months and having one of the project’s hits – “Congratulations” to be precise – going eight times platinum and nearly reaching diamond status.
