The release of Avengers Infinity War isn’t too far away and yet another trailer has been dropped in order to get us excited for what is meant to be the biggest Marvel showdown in history. The latest teaser for the film turns its focus onto the Universe ending villain, Thanos, and a few of his henchmen, alongside this we get a sneak peek at a few of the battlegrounds in the movie as well as a couple of the hero relationships we can expect, most notably Spiderman’s with Dr Strange which is already rumoured to be a significant one.

As for the film’s structure, we no longer expect a traditional two-part series, instead its set to be more like two independent yet interlinked movies. Specifically, the director of the upcoming movie, Joe Russo, states:

“It isn’t a true two-parter. I think the two-parter concept came back when Marvel decided they were going to culminate the MCU, it was going to be a two-movie deal. But as we developed the movie, in execution, it ended up being more of two singular expressions.”

Adding:

“[The films relate to each other] in the way that The Winter Soldier relates to Civil War, and the way that Civil War relates to Infinity War. These two movies will also relate. There’s a narrative thread that is connecting these films, but at the same time, there’s an independence in terms of what the experience is or where the story goes.”

If you are excited about the film, which you should be, head down to your nearest cinema on the 27th of April, although it would be smart to book tickets ahead of time as it’s set to be a busy showing.
