If you have ever felt like you have achieved nothing of any worth in your life then don’t worry, everyone will after finding out that 17-year-old American, Chloe Kim, just won gold in the Women’s Halfpipe Snowboarding event at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Furthermore, Kim didn’t just win, she smashed it by achieving an outstanding score of 98.25 at the Phoenix Snow Park making her the youngest woman to win an Olympic snowboarding medal ever.
The Korean American athlete didn’t even appear to be nervous before her winning run as she was even tweeting about her breakfast before gracing the halfpipe for the final time. However, Kim clearly performs at her best when relaxed as when victory was already assured her victory lap wow-ed not only the crowd but the judges as she executed two 1080’s in a row with a hint of McTwist – which I struggle to do on the Tony Hawk Skateboarding games on my best day.
