Let’s be honest, Donald Trump isn’t someone who thinks through his social media posts. However, recently the president’s actions online have gone from socially controversial to downright terrifying, as he took to Twitter to warn North Korea its leaders “won’t be around much longer.” Furthermore, – as you can see below -Trump took this one step further when one of his tweets tipped his hat towards the idea of using nuclear weapons and mocked Kim Jong-un over the possible effects of his.
Well, the backlash from the public after seeing Donald Trumps most recent tweets spurred Twitter to take to their blog with a post titled “World Leaders on Twitter,” in which the social media platform justified not banning or censoring Trump by explaining their take on the position, they wrote;
“Blocking a world leader from Twitter or removing their controversial Tweets, would hide important information people should be able to see and debate”
They further went on to state that;
“It would also not silence that leader, but it would certainly hamper necessary discussion around their words and actions,”
Well, let’s just hope that the 45th President of the United States of America doesn’t push Twitter to their limits as we believe the social media’s position on the whole topic is a very positive one.
North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!
