After Taylor Swift released her latest album, ‘Reputation’, on the ten year anniversary of Donda West’s death, Kanye West fans tried to keep the album off the charts by streaming “Hey Mama” 700,000 times. The stream-athon took place when 16-year-old organizer, Rhys Halkidis produced a 30-hour playlist. However, Spotify noticed the unusual mass streaming event through their multiple fraud-detection measures, and therefore the whole plan didn’t quite work.
