ZA has unveiled his first classical composition, A Ballet Through Mud, marking a new chapter in his diverse musical journey. Released under Platoon and 36 Chambers, the album features a live performance by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, blending classical music with RZA’s distinctive storytelling.

A Ballet Through Mud is a coming-of-age tale, with characters named after Greek musical scales, exploring themes of love, loss, and friendship. The composition reflects RZA’s personal journey from his early days in Staten Island to his rise as a renowned artist gracing concert halls worldwide.

The inspiration for this project came during the pandemic when RZA rediscovered his old lyric books, leading him to craft this unique piece. The album was mixed and mastered by Pietro Rossi, with Christopher Dragon conducting the live orchestra.
