Amazon is developing a Tomb Raider TV series with Fleabag’s Emma Award winner, Phoebe Waller-Bridge but she does not plan to star in the show.
This will be the latest offering to stem from her recently renewed overall deal with the streamer and will continue a series that spawned film adaptations in 2001 and 2018 starring Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander, respectively. The adventurous archaeologist Lara Croft character was also voiced by actresses including Camilla Luddington, Keeley Hawes and Minnie Driver in a slew of video game titles. Hayley Atwell also brought the character to life in a Netflix anime series.
Elsewhere, an anime Tomb Raider series is in the works at Netflix and due to air this year.
