G-SHOCK are known for their rugged timepieces, however, recently the brand has yet again turned their focus to the needs of surfers. Specifically, the G-LIDE Series is seeing a pair of new watches arrive, both of which add night surfing designs to the GBX-100.
As for what to expect, this new model comes with the ability to display information required by surfers. To be precise, through the use of a phone app, wearers can select their location and have all the necessary information given to them. This information is anything from high tide and low tide times, as well as when to expect the sun to come and go, moon data and tide levels.
When it comes to build quality, a high-resolution MIP LCD enhances readability and enables the display to be visible at all times. Furthermore, the bezel is composed of a combination of resin and metal, with stainless steel added for good measure. Consequently, these models have a guard structure that is designed to withstand impact from all directions, making them the perfect choice to wear while surfing.
