In order to celebrate the silhouette’s 20th anniversary, New Balance’s 991 has been revamped by none other than the Amsterdam-based brand that is Patta.

The duo has worked together in the past, however, that doesn’t mean this collaboration doesn’t offers a few firsts here and there. For example, this is the first time a 99x series sneaker has featured an ABZORB window in the forefoot, as opposed to the usual solo window that sits in the heel.

When it comes to aesthetics, the Patta x New Balance 991 sneaker opts for a “Cork” and “Light Petrol” colourway. These hues sit cleanly next to the hints of grey and “peach” that can be seen on the upper. As for branding, New Balance’s can be seen on the tongue and the sides, while Patta’s is visible near the heel.

Take a look at the Patta x New Balance 991 below. If you like what you see then sit tight as the pair are set to drop on the 25th of January at 13:00 CET via Patta’s online store. After this, the pair will receive a wider release on the 29th.
