After exploring every colour under the sun with their past releases, Pharrell and adidas are looking to move in a new direction. To be more precise, the duo are revamping their much-loved NMD Hu sneakers with monochromatic colourways.
Specifically, the triple black Pharrell x adidas Originals NMD Hu arrives with the familiar full-length BOOST sole unit. From here, it utilizes a comfy and lightweight Primeknit upper across which reads “Human Race” in Chinese. Interestingly, it’s the tonal embroidery that distinguishes the text from the sneaker, this embroidery harmonises in colour with either of the sets of laces you choose to sport, white or black with speckled 3M details.
The sneakers boast the usual lacing system, provided by a black cage that spreads down to the cushy midsole. From here, the sneakers are rounded off with a black leather heel tab, on top of which sits the signature Pharrell Williams and adidas Trefoil branding.
