Having teased the upcoming collaboration on his Instagram, Salehe Bembury’s New Balance Collaboration has been given a release date. The shoe is Bemburys take on the NB ML2002R1 trainer and has been in the works for a while now.
Salehe is the Vice Principal of Sneakers & Mens Footwear at Versace and took to Instagram in April to give us a sneak peek of the shoe. The post featured the sneakers orange laces and lace keeper with Salehe Bembury showing in blue block lettering.
The shoes colours have been inspired by the Antelope Canyon – located in Arizona. The sneaker showcases the vibrant oranges of the area; as well as the many layers of the landscape shown through the multiple textured suede samples used on the shoe. “Peace Be The Journey” and appreciation of the great outdoors is the key theme of the collaboration shown through the use of colour.
