This year Dr. Martens has been celebrating 60 years of their brand via a string of collaborations, all revamping their iconic 1460 boot. Now we are 8 collabs in, out of the 12 they stated they would drop, and this time around the brand is teaming with none other than Needles.

Continuing the ongoing partnership with the vintage Americana, military and sportswear-inspired brand that is Needles, the latest 1460 boot is subtle yet eye-catching where it needs to be. A clash between Needles’ contemporary branding and the deep-set heritage of the 1460 boot, the latest collaboration sees 1960 fused with 2020. The black boots take Needles’ signature purple track pant stripe down the side. From here, Shimizu includes Needles’ trademark ‘Papillon’ butterfly – inspired by the movie of the same name – on the toe cap, with yellow stitching and vibrant laces rounding the pair off.

Take a look at the Dr. Martens x Needles collaboration below, if you like what you see then sit tight as the collab will drop on Saturday the 22nd of August at drmartens.com and select partners.
