After Killer Mike‘s empowering speech regarding racial injustice was shared far and wide across the internet, the renowned rapper, along with his fellow group member that is El-P, have released brand new music.
Specifically, the Run The Jewels duo, which is famously known for their conscious style of rap, have surprised fans by releasing its highly-anticipated new album RTJ4 early. As for why, the two wanted to have the project’s release align with the world-wide protests that are calling for justice surrounding the murder of George Floyd.
The RTJ4 project consists of 11 songs and sees the likes of Greg Nice, 2 Chainz, Pharrell Williams and even Zack De La Rocha of Rage Against The Machine. The duo remains true to style and sound that is now synonymous with their music, but have looked to push this further, seeing production from DJ Premier land on track two.
