Just last year the renowned American brand, Converse, utilised GORE-TEX technology for their Chuck Taylor MC18. However, one year one and Converse have decided to reintroduce the tech via the seasonal Mountain Club collection.
Specifically, the Mountain Club sees the re-introduction of MC18 in Carbon Grey, Birch Bark and Black, however, it doesn’t arrive alone. In fact, the Bosey silhouette can also be seen with its initial 1940s-based inspiration reworked for added traction and protection. Interestingly, the Bosey style is available in two distinct iterations: the Bosey MC as well as the classic Chuck 70 Bosey.
Last but not least, Converse’s latest collection is rounded off via the inclusion of the Chuck Taylor All Star (CTAS) Lugged Winter, which gets a lift and technical upgrade. Featuring a lugged outsole, GORE-TEX inner bootie and soft fleece lining, the CTAS Lugged Winter is available in several technical materials, including a waterproof ballistic nylon upper.
Take a look at Converse’s Mountain Club range below, if you like what you see then you’re in luck as the Chuck Taylor MC18 and Bosey MC will be available globally from Converse.com beginning in early November, while the Chuck 70 Bosey and CTAS Lugged Winter along with other seasonal Converse styles are available now.
