Back when Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani was taking over the US – May 2005, for those who don’t keep track – Ewan McGregor made his last on-screen appearance as the iconic Obi-Wan Kenobi character. However, 14 years later and it looks like he could be returning to the role.

Specifically, the Scottish actor is rumoured to be in the middle of negotiations with Disney, something which fans of the franchise are happy to hear. However, unlike the rumours that first surfaced regarding the actor’s return last year, it is expected that we will be seeing McGregor pick the role up in a series, rather than a film.

This, of course, would be a great move on Disneys part as the entertainment conglomerate has been looking to open their new streaming service titled ‘Disney+’, and perhaps this will be the perfect project to get a large audience to sign up.

However, as of yet, everything is in early stages, having said that, if the potential release excites you then stay tuned as we will keep you up to date with the news as it develops.
