The American brand that is Converse has recently taken environmental concerns into their own hands, consequently creating a brand new collection crafted purely from recycled plastic bottles.

To be precise, this Friday will see the release of Converse’s iconic Chuck Taylor silhouette, however, this time the canvas will consist of only recycled polyester. Having said that, Converse have promised their buyers that the brand’s new strategy, titled ‘Converse Renew’, will look and feel the same as all of the shoes that have come before it.

Furthermore, this isn’t the end of the line for the program, it will only be a matter of time until more products and techniques will be introduced, allowing for more sustainability and peace of mind.

Take a look at the pairs below, if you like what you see then head over to Converse’s online store in order to cop your favourites, with prices starting at £35 and peaking at £75.
