With his “FIGURES OF SPEECH” exhibition at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art quickly approaching, as a consequence the pressure is likely on the renowned designer that is Virgil Abloh. However, he doesn’t let it show, even finding the time to introduce yet another new collaboration in conjunction with Nike while he is at it.

To be precise, the long-running partnership continues with what was originally going to be a pair designed exclusively for Serena Williams. The design is kicked off with a “University Blue” covering the entirety of the Air Force 1 ‘07’s surface area. From here, the bold silhouette turns to visible stitching, a contrasting red zip-tie as well as branding from both parties. To finish things off, the soon-to-be-iconic “AIR” text is planted on the midsole.
