It was back in the midst of Coachella that we first got to lay our eyes upon the Off-White™ X Nike Waffle Racer, in fact, at the time everyone was unsure whether the sneaker was even going to be seen again let alone released widely.
Well, now that several weeks have passed we have finally been given a closer look at the upcoming pair and sneakerheads are excited. As for why, the pair arrives with a construction that consists of almost all waffle, specifically, the textured upper boasts a semi-translucent design that plays off the “Black/Fuchsia” colourway. From here, the usual Virgil-Abloh-provided features land, such as the hanging tag, text-based branding and orange labels. However, what clearly draws the eye is the extreme outsole which features a number of track spikes.
