The beloved English singer-songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and actor that is Ed Sheeran recently sided with none other than Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock for a brand new single titled “Cross Me”.
This, of course, not only gives us an opportunity to listen to some new material from the artists, but it also reminds us that Ed’s No.6 Collaborations Project is soon to drop. As for what to expect with this track and the reset of the album, Sheeran made it clear that it was never going to be pop-focused, stating: “The reason it’s not a pop album is people expect you to come and the next album they’re going to be like ‘it has to be bigger than ‘Shape of You’ and it has to sell more than this’ … But if I control it and go, ‘Here’s a lo-fi record that I really f**ing love,’ my fans are gonna be like ‘Yay!’, and the pop world are gonna be like ‘oh well, maybe the next one.’”
Take a listen to the new single below via YouTube, Spotify or Apple Music, if you like what you hear then you’re in luck as the creative is set to drop the full No.6 Collaborations Project on the 12th of July.
