The anonymous England-based street artist, vandal, political activist, and film director that is Banksy has just become the number one suspect as to who recently painted a politically-charged piece at London’s Marble Arch.
Specifically, the piece was found on Friday after activists of the Extinction Rebellion protests met up at the movement’s base in central London. The protests have been taking place since the 16th of April, however, Friday was the first time that it was spotted. The art itself features the slogan “From this moment despair ends and tactics begin” beside a young girl sitting on the ground while promoting the Extinction Rebellion logo.
As of yet, Banksy has not confirmed that he is the creator of the piece, although, the renowned art dealer and gallerist that is John Brandler has made it clear that he believes that this is the handy work of the iconic creative. Specifically, he said that he is convinced it’s real “for two reasons: it’s a topic that he would support, and it’s a continuation of the Port Talbot piece that appeared in December 2018.”
I guess we will have to wait and see if Banksy claims it in the coming days.
