Recently, Harlem’s very own American model, hip hop recording artist and songwriter, A$AP Nast, revealed a few details regarding his highly-anticipated Converse collaboration. In fact, not only are their now images of the collab in question, but a release date has also surfaced.
As for what to expect from the offerings, sneakers, tees, sweatpants, shirts and more all make an appearance with all of them utilising functional and outwear-type aesthetics and constructions. Specifically, in the recently published lookbook we see graphics, colour-blocking, patterns and more all arrive upon the range of materials used, these being the likes of Legacy Cotton Jersey, French Terry and other premium textiles. When it came to the sneakers, A$AP Nast looked to pay tribute to one of his childhood’s most beloved shoes, the Converse Chuck Taylor. However, most notably Nast teamed with the renowned footwear designer, Matt Sleep, in order to revamp a similar silhouette, the Jack Purcell Mid, which arrives in a number of attractive colourways.
