The renowned creative label that is Volcom has always been proud of their progressive nature when it comes to sustainable and moral manufacturing techniques, however, this spring might be set to see their biggest stride ever as they prepare to launch their new collaborative initiative titled 'Farm to Yarn'.
Specifically, the venture was launched in conjunction with the ethically-orientated social enterprise that is CottonConnect and has seen them introduce certified organic cotton that’s traceable back to the program’s farmers, not only this but the project also provides social and professional educational programs for the farmers as well as the women in the local villages.
This completely transparent manufacturing process can only be a good thing, with Ryan Immegart, theChief Marketing Officer at Volcom, stating: “We are truly proud of this program as it embodies both environmental and social benefits,” adding: “In addition, it represents another strategic milestone in our never-ending mission to be True To This planet.”
