The iconic Filipino professional boxer and Senator of the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao, recently stepped out the ring victorious as he faced off against the champion-beating boxer that is Adrien Broner.

As for what took place, Pacquiao retained his WBA world welterweight title after winning via unanimous decision after the scores stood at 116-112, 116-112, and 117-111. This wasn't particularly surprising as the 40-year-old athlete threw 568 punches while Broner managed just 295.

However, what many were excited to hear after the fight was Manny stating that he was prepared to step in the ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr. once again. Specifically, he had this to say: “At the age of 40 I still give my best,” adding “I don’t believe my career is over. I proved it against Matthysse and I proved it again at the age of 40. Manny Pacquiao’s journey still continues.” Before ending with: “Tell him (Floyd) to come back to the ring and we will fight,”

It wasn't all good for Pacquiao however as just one day after his fight it was made public that his home was "ransacked" while he was away. As for details, there are very few at the moment as police are still looking into the robbery, I guess we will have to wait and hope that justice is served.
