Facebook is undeniably one of the biggest companies to ever be created, and that's not surprising as it appears that the conglomerate looks to make moves in every industry and field they can.

However, many believe that the social media platform is losing touch with its most fundamental and essential audience, teenagers. In order to try and combat this, Facebook is apparently set to release what they hope to be a new hub for memes, with the project as a whole being called 'LOL'.

As for what we can expect from this, not many people are sure as it has only been released limitedly, in fact, Facebook themselves state that they are: "running a small scale test and the concept is in the early stages right now.” Having said that, the few insiders who have laid eyes upon them have said that the private beta was slightly “cringey” and that it felt like Facebook is trying to stay relevant.

I guess we will have to wait and see whether this will be a success or another one of the platforms losing ventures.
