The British founded, American multinational corporation, Sotheby, is one of the world’s largest brokers of fine and decorative art, jewelry, real estate, and collectibles around, this is why it’s no surprise to hear that they have been given the honour of auctioning off a number of incredibly rare and iconic items from the estate of Marsha and Robin Williams. Specifically, you can expect to see a large number of film and sports memorabilia – such as Harry Potter’s robe from the first movie – as well as personal artwork, autographed scripts, art from Banksy, Shepard Fairey and Invader, over 40 watches, sculptures by Deborah Butterfield & Niki de Saint-Phalle and even Williams’s Hollywood Walk of Fame award all go under the hammer with various percentages of the proceeds being donated to various charities.
These pieces however wont come cheap so if you are interested in purchasing an item start saving up, however, if you would prefer to just look then you can do that too as a public exhibition in Sotheby’s York Avenue galleries between the 29th of September and 4th of October will display a number of the items before they go up for grabs for the first and last time.
