It wasn’t long ago that Spotify removed XXXTentacion’s music from their playlist database due to the company putting in place a “hateful conduct” policy, well after the public, as well as fellow artists such as Kendrick Lamar, spoke out against such a move the company eventually reversed their decision, consequently leading to the music platform apologising and reinstating the late rapper’s music on the 2nd of June.

Well since XXXTentacion’s tragic death his music sales have not only increased by over 540,000%, but his track “Sad!” has just knocked Taylor Swift off the number 1 spot as her “Look What You Made Me Do” previously held Spotify’s single day streaming record. Taylor’s record stood solid on top of the podium with a whopping 10.1 million streams before X’s “Sad!” secured 10.4 million streams on the 19th of June, the day after X was shot and killed in Florida at the age of 20.
