If you are a fan of football then expect to spend a little more time on Amazon Prime Video over the next few years as the e-commerce giants have just bought the rights to a large number of matches in order to stream them exclusively on their very own entertainment platform.

Specifically, from next year, Amazon will exclusively show all 10 matches over one bank holiday and another 10 during one midweek fixture programme, this format will start from 2019 and will run as a part of a three-year deal. Overall, these 20 matches wont be available anywhere else, so if you are a football fan then get ready to cash out £7.99 each month or £79 for the year if you do in fact want to stay up to date with the sport. Europe’s vice president of Prime Video, Jay Marine, had this to say: “The Premier League is the most watched sports league in the world,” adding: “Over these two December fixture rounds Prime members will be able to watch every team, every game, so no matter which Premier League team you support, you’re guaranteed to see them play live on Prime Video.”
