Marvel Studios‘ ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ only took 11 days to rack up over a billion dollars through ticket sales, breaking the previous record held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens which was 12 days. Interestingly the film is now Marvel‘s sixth film to make a billion dollars proving that the superhero trend is still going strong. As for how it broke the record rather effortlessly, not only was the film Marvel’s “most ambitious crossover event in history” but also got a major boost as it opened in Russia at the end of last week consequently leading to it becoming the countries biggest debut movie. This makes us wonder just what astronomical heights the movie’s sales will reach when it drops in China on the 11th of May. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
