Lamborghini‘s “Ad Personam” program saw Pope Francis get gifted a Lamborghini Huracan RWD, and since it doesn’t look like driving is his kind of thing, Francis put the car up for auction at RM Sotheby’s Monaco sale on the 12th of May. The special edition custom motor features a white and gold paint job that matches the Pope’s cassock. However, the most valuable detail on the automobile comes from the Pope himself as he blessed the one-off car and signed its hood.
As for price, the car is estimated to collect up to $425,000 with all the proceeds from the auction being donated to charity. More specifically 70% of it is going to the Iraqi city of Nineveh in order to try and help it recover from being attacked by ISIS, while the remaining 30% will be split evenly between Amici per il Centrafrica Onlus, Groupe International Chirurgiens Amis de la Main, and Pope John XXIII Community Association.
