Drake has had a good year and not just because of his project, ‘More Life’, becoming the most listened to album of 2017, but because his 2011 album ‘Take Care’ has now spent over 5 years on the Billboard 200 chart. Specifically, ‘Take Care’ has stayed on the list of the hottest albums for 250 weeks and has only dropped down approximately halfway to the 105 spot. This means that if Drake’s current trajectory continues he will be set to remain on the Billboard 200 chart for 10 years. However, he still has his work cut out for him as the current record for the most consecutive weeks spent on the Billboard charts is held by Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ at a mind-blowing 741 weeks. Meaning that even if Drake makes it to 10 years, he will have to carry on another approximate 5 years to just match the record.
