Exciting news from the soccer world as Saudi Arabian club, Al-Hilal, makes history by submitting an eye-watering transfer bid of €300m. The deal would be for the talented Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappé.

The buzz started when PSG surprisingly left Mbappé out of their squad for the pre-season tour of Japan. This fueled speculations that they might be ready to part ways with the young star unless he signs a new contract. Al-Hilal has stepped in and is eager to snatch up the talented player, but it seems they haven’t had any direct talks with Mbappé yet.

The Saudi club is not only willing to pay €300m for the player, but an additional €700m on top of this as his yearly wage. Consequently, this will be the first year-long deal in football that would clock up a bill of €1bn. This yearly sum translates to a mind-boggling weekly-wage of €13m (about 14.4m USD).

Al-Hilal is certainly determined to secure Mbappé, even if it means having him for just one season before he potentially moves to Real Madrid next summer.
